Ages: 5-11

Join Heidi for a monthly Saturday morning of Color Me Yoga (tm) for Children, Niyama/Yama craft time, and nutritional education this summer.  In this 3-class, monthly course, students will learn more about: the foods that best suit their bodies in S.N.A.C.K. class; explore yoga adventures that help them move freely, find joy, and understand how to discover peace within; and make crafts that reflect the Yamas and Niyamas (observances and avoidances) that they learn each month.

45-minute Color Me Yoga (tm) for Children class
30-minute S.N.A.C.K. class
30-minute Yama/Niyama craft class
(Craft materials and morning snack class included in registration fee)
Cost: $100/4 classes, or $30 drop-in (Family rates available).

Once a month, Chill offers a free yoga class to the community. Come and try different styles each month!

Kirtan is the yoga of sound. Chanting is part of the Bhakti (devotional) yoga path and offers the opportunity to tune in and turn off the mind using the voice. Join Kirtonium one Sunday a month, and Ananda Bhakti one Friday a month as they lead you in some energy-moving vibrational chanting! No training required and all voices are welcome. FIRST SUNDAY OF THE MONTH/ THIRD FRIDAY OF THE MONTH. Cost: By donation.

As our busy lives get away from us, we need to take time to nurture ourselves. Restorative yoga is great way to tune in to yourself, renew and repair, and find yourself with increased energy and vitality for the coming weeks! You do not need any previous yoga experience for this class -- all are welcome! Although there are some props provided, please bring several blankets and a firm pillow.
Cost: 10 class pass or $15 drop-in.

*Ashtanga: All Levels (Begins 1/9/12)

Learn the principles of Ashtanga Yoga each week from the varying perspectives of three different Ashtanga practicitoners/teachers.  Class is open to beginners (in good physical condition) as well as seasoned practitioners.

*Ashtanga: Mixed Levels- Heidi
Mondays 5:30 PM - 6:50 PM- Chill Room

This 80-minute, vinyasa yoga class is suitable for experienced beginners and intermediate practitioners.  Let's go deeper, get stronger, breathe more freely and find peace and tranquility within.  Each week, learn how to deepen a pose in the Standing and Seated series of Ashtanga Yoga while safely finding your level of comfort in the practice.  Mysore students are welcome to come and practice independently. (Pre-requisite: Students must have practicing knowledge of Sun A and Sun B.)
Cost: $80/8 weeks; 10class pass: $120; Student/Senior 10 class pass: $95; Drop-in: $15

Beginning Ashtanga Yoga is for students interesting in learning the standing sequences of the primary series. In this class, breathing and proper alignment for a safe and effective yoga practice will be the focus. Bring a water bottle, yoga mat, and wear comfortable clothing. (Note: This is a physically active class.) Avoid eating 1 hour before class. Classes will be held at Chill Yoga, 178 Lisbon Street, next door to FISC, near the corner of Ash & Lisbon Streets. For those without a lot of yoga experience, this class will get you moving and stretching in many ways! We will explore body awareness, balance, and flow while we twist, bend and relax! Yoga keeps you feeling youthful and free - come join the fun!(Ongoing)

Cost:  8 classes/ 1 per week = $80 
          16 classes/2 per week = $155 (Both Tues/Thurs Yoga Fit classes)

Choose a practice for your child that gives them the freedom to be themselves and find peace in our ever-changing world.  Heidi will bring your children to far-off places where their yoga poses come to life through imagination. For 45 minutes listen to your children laugh, dance, sing, and play in "Color me Yoga for Children" with Heidi Audet. Light snacks provided.(Sessions)

*Vinyasa Yoga for Health & Fitness-Heidi (No class 1/24; New session: 1/31/12)
Tuesdays, 5pm-6pm- Chill Room

This special series for health and fitness will be lead by Heidi. Each class begins with 30 minutes of vinyasa flowing yoga blending elements of Tai Chi, DanceYOGA(tm), Tri Yoga Flow, Warrior Series, and Advanced Vinyasa. Class continues with a 15-minute workout on different muscle groups each week, and concludes with deep relaxation. This breath-powered movement class is suitable for most beginners and intermediate yoga practitioners. (Sessions)

*Kripalu Basics-Alice (New Time!- No class 2/14)
Tuesdays, 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM- Chill Room

 Kripalu Basics (Level: beginner to intermediate) Get energized for a great week with this Monday evening class. Alice will guide you through gentle stretches and proper alignment in a variety of postures, building into a joyous flow of breath and movement. Costs: 14 weeks for $140; 10-class passes, and $15 drop-in /12 (Student & Seniors) drop-ins welcome. Runs through April 24th. (Sessions)

*YogaSpirit- Form and Flow-Kathy (Next session begins 1/4/12)
Wednesdays, 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM Chill Room 

This class is for those who want to deepen their yoga practice on a physical, energetic and spiritual level. Taught in the Yogaspirit tradition, we will guide you through flowing sequences to open up specific areas in the body. Each class will highlight a pose and break it down step by step to ensure proper alignment. Pranayama and inner practices will also be explored.
Costs:

*Free Flowing Yoga- Kevin Wicks (New Class!)
Wednesdays 5:30 PM - 6:45 PM- Chill Room

A traditional Yoga class that is not labeled or stylized; it's all Yoga regardless the style. This class is open to the needs of the moment, connecting to our inner light. Kevin will guide students to go with the flow of practice that comes out for that day, blending aspects of many styles of modern Yoga. Each class will incorporate regular asanas (postures) and may include pranayama (breathwork) and/or meditation. Class is open to the suggestions of the specific needs of the practitioners, while also going with the flow of that day's practice. Be prepared to be in the moment, travel inside, and learn to listen to the teacher within. (All levels class)

Similar to Tuesday's Vinyasa Yoga for Health & Fitness, but geared specifically for beginners. Try this Vinyasa Flow class that incorporates elements of Tri-Yoga, Kundalini, DanceYoga, and Shiva Rea's Vinyasa Flow Yoga. Levels and modifications of poses shown. Bring a water bottle, yoga mat, and wear comfortable clothing. Classes will be held at Chill Yoga, 178 Lisbon Street, above Forage Market, near the corner of Ash & Lisbon Streets. Studio entrance on 2nd Floor.

Dates-2nd Session: 11/17, 12/1, 12/8, 12/15, 12/22, 1/12; Lewiston Adult Education Session: 2/9, 2/16, 3/1, 3/8, 3/15. Costs: $47/5 weeks(Register through Adult Ed.), $15 drop-in, $12 drop-in Seniors (65+) and Students; 10 class pass also accepted.

*Ashtanga: Beginners & Beyond- Nerys (Ongoing)

Ashtanga Yoga is a traditional style of Yoga comprising of dynamic poses combined with deep breathing. It’s a challenging practice which realigns, tones and strengthens your body while developing concentration, steadiness and relaxation for your mind.  It is the
original Vinyasa style of Yoga.
This class welcomes beginners, as well as those who have been practicing for longer, to learn the correct sequencing and individual modifications.  You will learn how to make the practice your own.
Costs:  $15 drop in ($12 students/seniors), or Chill Yoga 10-class pass.

*Ashtanga: Primary & More- Nerys (Ongoing)
Thursdays 6:15 PM- 7:15PM- Chill Room

Ashtanga Yoga is a meditation in motion.  This class is for students who are already familiar with the Primary series or those in good shape who have been practicing Yoga for at least one Year.  This is generally a led class of the full Primary Series, although, we may also bring in some Second Series, too.  If you want to take your practice to the next level, then this is the class for you.
Costs: $15 drop-in ($12 for students/seniors), or Chill Yoga 10-class pass.

Ashtanga- Primary Standing, Finishing Series & More-Heidi        Saturday- 8:30 AM - 10:00 AM (2 Sat. a month)- Chill Room

Open your eyes to a whole new Saturday morning!  Heidi will be your  conductor on this vigorous train ride through the Primary Series of Ashtanga Yoga.  She will guide you through the many poses from the seated series, and take your view of the world in a different direction with the finishing sequences (backbends, shoulder stands, head stands, etc.). Expect occasional side trips of exploration into second series.  Class closes with shivasana.
(Prerequisite: good physical condition and/or knowledge of Ashtanga Yoga.)
NOTE: Class generally meets 2 Saturdays a month.

*Hatha Vinyasa Yoga- Kevin Wicks
  Saturday -8:30 AM - 9:45 AM-(2 Saturdays a month)-Chill Room

Join Kevin as he leads you through an approachable yoga practice that is both hard and soft; a flow that can be adapted through injury and imbalance. Class starts with a warm-up that heats the body, opens the joints, and takes the spine through the 5 basic ranges of motion. The sun salutations restore spinal flexibility and remove joint stiffness. The standing sequence, practiced with attention, can realign hips, ankles, knees, and build core strength. The seated sequence reinforces the standing asanas (postures), and prepares students for sitting practices. Finally in the closing sequence, the routine builds to inversions then subsides to relaxation, cooling the body, balancing metabolism, and resetting the nervous system. Dates: 1/14, 1/28, 2/11, 2/25, 3/10, 3/24, 4/7, 4/21

Costs:  $15 drop-in ($10 Senior/Student drop-in) or Chill 10-class pass also accepted.
