Zumba Gold -Adriane Kramer

Certified Zumba instructor Adriane Kramer will guide you through this amazingly fun class. Ditch the workout and join the party! Zumba is a combination of Latin and International Dance themes that creates a dynamic, exciting and effective fitness system. The routines feature aerobic/fitness interval training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body. Zumba combines high energy and motivating music that allow the participants to dance away their worries. It is based on the principle that a workout should be fun and easy, and is a "feel happy" workout that is great for both the body and the mind.

Sutras Group - monthly -Nerys - March 21

2,500 years ago the Yogic sage, Patanjali, codified the ancient practice of Yoga in the Sutras. Here we take Yoga off the mat, and look at these texts, and consider how they fit into our daily lives. We may look at the Chapters in sequence, or we might look at specific areas. Its very informal, and no prior knowledge is needed. If you have a translation bring it with you.

This class will explore some of the more advanced poses not practiced in a beginners class. You do not have to be super flexible to do the poses, just a willingness to try and accept your bodies limitations. We will work to deepen your yoga practice by exploring these variations and assist you with practicing what your body needs. You should be comfortable with all beginning poses before taking this class, at least a year of practice is recommended.

Explore the art of meditation in alignment with the divine. Meditation is the practice of bringing the mind into stillness. The practice has various forms and interpretations throughout the many traditions of yoga and Buddhism. The style that will be practiced in each class may vary from week to week unless a particular approach has been declared in the class description. Some of the styles that will be explored will be silent, the use of mantra (sound), mudras (hand gestures), guided imagery, and pranayama (breath). Participants will be encouraged to practice at home between classes and all are welcome. Class ends with time for sharing of experiences.

Restorative Yoga for Mind & Body - Tammy

Relaxation is a state in which there is no movement, no effort, and the brain is quiet.
Winter is a time to rest, relax and renew but how many of us have time Heres your chance! This class is a gentle, therapeutic style of Yoga that is appropriate for all. During class, students can expect to experience complete relaxation through the use of props to create a supportive environment, learn about the five levels of relaxation and experience some of the many possible health benefits yoga can offer. This is not a class about sleeping. It is a nurturing, soothing class of conscious relaxation.

Anatomy of Asana - Tammy

Class starts with a slow flow warm-up, incorporating poses that share similar actions and anchors, as our key pose of the week. After our warm up, and through the use of props, variations of the key pose, and teacher assists, we continue to move with consciousness, focusing on breath, alignment, strength, flexibility and inner peace.
This class is a great compliment to any style yoga, providing an opportunity for personally refining and adding depth to the fundamentals of your yoga practice, as well as introducing more challenging poses. Class is appropriate for all level students as each student is encouraged and gently guided to experience the key pose "personally."

Ashtanga- Mixed Levels- Heidi

This 70 minute class is great for people with yoga experience and those who are experienced yoga practitioners! Heidi will bring you safely through each of the asanas (postures) that make up the Primary Series. Instruction focuses on proper alignment and breathing. Some modifications are introduced for those with some physical limitations. (Prerequisite: Must be in fair physical condition and have praticing knowledge of Sun A & Sun B.)
Mixed Levels Ashtanga is an ongoing class. Drop-ins welcome.


Goddess Yoga - Julie - no class March 31

This class is in honor of women of voluptuous, goddess-body type. It can be intimidating to walk into a class full of thin, bendy, intermediate yoga students. Julie offers a nurturing, comfortable space to practice yoga for those who have previously felt self-conscious about their weight or body type. Julie believes that every person has the ability to embark on their journey with yoga at any point, in the body that they have, right now. Goddess yoga is a beginners class in the traditional Hatha yoga style (familiar poses) with Vinyasa influences. Julie will assist students in finding their own relationship with yoga, while sharing some simple tools for students to incorporate into their daily lives. Each class will offer some light meditation, breathwork (pranayama), and mantra in addition to postures (asana). This class requires students to move up and down on the floor. Julie will assist students in finding their own relationship with yoga, while sharing some simple tools for incorporation into their daily lives. There will be some light meditation, breathwork (pranayama) and mantra in addition to postures (asana). Do you ever think, "I cant do yoga, Im not flexible." That is the very reason to begin, if not now, then when Julie believes that everyone has the ability to embark on their journey with yoga at any point, in the body that they have, right now. Postnatal- Mommy & Me Yoga- Heidi- starts Feb. 24th

A great way to reconnect with and strengthen your body after it has healed from delivery. Designed for mothers and their infant children (8-weeks to almost walking). Classes offer an opportunity for you to bond, breathe, and stretch with your little one and a chance to connect with other mothers while you learn a few yoga tools to help support you in your post-partum recovery. Gentle hands on yoga and massage for babies, as well as postures to help you and your baby continue the bonding process will also be visited.

Please have clearance from your healthcare practitioner before beginning this program.

What to bring: a blanket, a yoga mat, and 3 ounce bottle of organic grapeseed or apricot oil (food grade).

Vinyasa Yoga for Health & Fitness-Heidi

This special series for health and fitness will be lead by Heidi. Each class begins with 30 minutes of vinyasa flowing yoga blending elements of Tai Chi, DanceYOGA(tm) Yoga Trance Dance, Tri Yoga Flow and Advanced Vinyasa. Class continues with a 15-minute workout on specific muscle groups, and concludes with deep relaxation. This vinyasa class is suitable for most beginners and intermediate yoga practitioners. Ashtanga-Fundamentals-Nerys - no class March 11

We will review some of the key features that are unique to Ashtanga Yoga. Its a good place for beginners who will experience linking movements to their breath, finding out that they have bandhas (clue: think core) and the inherent power that comes from engaging the powerhouse. We will look at and discuss modifications for different body types, as well as those working through injuries. We will also look at how to build a daily practice. This is suitable for beginners as well as long-time students.


Ashtanga-Mixed levels-Nerys

Nerys will guide you through the Primary series. This is a great introduction for beginners, and good workout for those who have practiced a little longer. Lots of individual modifications and explanations.


Ashtanga- Primary Standing, Finishing Series & More-biweekly- Heidi

Join Heidi for a flowing yoga class that incorporates all of the standing asanas in the primary series. Class will wind down with the finishing sequences (backbends, shoulderstands, etc.) and close with shivasana(relaxation).
(Prerequisite: good physical condition and/or knowledge of Ashtanga Yoga.)

NOTE: Class meets 2 Saturdays a month.

This 5-week session is geared for 2nd and 3rd trimesters of pregnancy. Learn relaxation techniques, breathing exercises, and yoga postures to help strengthen and prepare your changing body for childbirth.
